Moldavite Green Tektite Call of Karma Slim Slice
Moldavite Slim Slice — Natural Czech Republic Green Tektite | 12–36mm | Zero-Gravity Case
Moldavite is one of the rarest and most scientifically extraordinary gemstones on Earth — a natural green tektite formed approximately 14.7 million years ago when a meteorite impact in what is now southern Germany melted the surrounding rock and ejected it into the atmosphere, where it cooled into glass and rained back down across central Europe. Every piece of Moldavite is a direct product of that single cosmic event. This slim slice — a sleek, elongated piece of natural Moldavite hand-selected for its slender, blade-like form — is presented in a zero-gravity display case. Colors range from light to dark forest green. Each piece is unique.
Available Sizes
12mm, 14mm, 16mm, 18mm, 20mm, 22mm, 24mm, 26mm, 28mm, 30mm, 34mm, 36mm — measured tip to tip at the longest length.
What Is Moldavite? — The Science
Moldavite (SiO2 + Al2O3 + other oxides) is a tektite — a natural glass formed by the heat and pressure of a hypervelocity meteorite impact. The Nordlinger Ries impact event (~14.7 million years ago, Miocene epoch) produced a strewn field of Moldavite across Bohemia, Moravia, and Lusatia. Moldavite is found only in this region of the Czech Republic, making it one of the rarest gemstones in the world by geographic restriction. Its characteristic forest green color comes from iron oxide content, and its surface displays the distinctive sculptured, wrinkled texture (Lechatelierite inclusions and flow structures) produced by rapid cooling from a molten state during atmospheric flight. Genuine Moldavite is increasingly rare as the finite Czech deposits are depleted by decades of mining.
Metaphysical Properties
- Heart Chakra & Soul Star Chakra — Moldavite’s primary energy centers; opens the heart to transformation and connects to higher-dimensional consciousness
- Transformation & karmic acceleration — known as the “stone of transformation”; accelerates spiritual evolution, surfaces karmic patterns for resolution, and catalyzes rapid life change
- Cosmic connection — used for astral travel, communication with higher self, guardian angels, and master beings; one of the highest-vibrating stones available
- Synchronicity & manifestation — associated with meaningful coincidences, accelerated manifestation, and the alignment of personal destiny with cosmic purpose
Historical & Cultural Significance
Moldavite has been used by humans for over 25,000 years — Neolithic peoples of central Europe carved it into amulets and tools. The Venus of Willendorf figurine was found near Moldavite artifacts. In Czech tradition, Moldavite was given as a betrothal gift to bring harmony and good fortune. Today it is the national gemstone of the Czech Republic and one of the most sought-after metaphysical stones worldwide.
Care Notes
Moldavite is natural glass (Mohs ~5.5) — handle with care to avoid chipping. Store separately from harder stones. Display in the included zero-gravity case. Do not use ultrasonic cleaners.
