Moldavite Tektite Saw Blade Time Space Real Green Meteorite
Moldavite Saw Blade — Natural Czech Green Tektite | Serrated Edge Formation | 12–30mm | Zero-Gravity Case
Among the many natural forms Moldavite takes, the saw blade is one of the most visually dramatic: a piece with naturally serrated, spiky edges that loosely resemble the teeth of a saw blade — a form produced entirely by the aerodynamic forces and rapid cooling of molten glass during its atmospheric flight 14.7 million years ago. No two saw blade pieces are alike. This is genuine, natural, untreated Czech Republic Moldavite, ranging from light to dark forest green. Available in 12mm to 30mm. Arrives in a zero-gravity display case.
Available Sizes
12mm, 14mm, 16mm, 18mm, 20mm, 22mm, 24mm, 26mm, 28mm, 30mm — measured tip to tip at longest length.
What Is Moldavite? — The Science
Moldavite is a tektite — a natural silica glass (SiO2 + Al2O3 + oxides) formed by the Nordlinger Ries meteorite impact approximately 14.7 million years ago in southern Germany. The impact melted terrestrial rock and ejected it into the upper atmosphere at extreme velocity. As individual molten droplets traveled through the atmosphere, aerodynamic forces — drag, turbulence, and differential cooling rates across the surface — sculpted each piece into a unique form. The serrated, spiky edges of the saw blade form are produced when the outer surface of a molten droplet cools and solidifies while the interior is still fluid, creating tension that fractures the cooling glass into irregular, tooth-like projections. This is the same process that produces Moldavite’s characteristic wrinkled surface texture, taken to its most dramatic expression. Moldavite is found only in the Czech Republic and is one of the rarest gemstones in the world.
The Saw Blade Form — Protective Edge Energy
In crystal healing traditions, the serrated, spiky form of the saw blade Moldavite is associated with protective, boundary-setting energy — the sharp edges metaphysically represent the ability to cut through illusion, negative influences, and energetic intrusions. Where smooth Moldavite pieces radiate energy outward in all directions, the saw blade’s pointed projections are associated with focused, directional protective force — creating a strong energetic perimeter around the holder’s aura.
Metaphysical Properties
- Heart Chakra (Anahata) — opens the heart to cosmic love and soul-level connection
- Aura protection & energetic shielding — the serrated form is associated with cutting through negative energy and maintaining a clear, protected energetic field
- Transformation & acceleration — Moldavite’s core property; catalyzes rapid spiritual evolution and surfaces what no longer serves
- Astral travel & higher connection — used for meditation, astral projection, and communication with higher self and spirit guides
- Spiritual knowledge & wisdom — one of the highest-vibrating stones available; associated with access to cosmic knowledge and universal intelligence
Historical & Cultural Significance
Moldavite has been used by humans for over 25,000 years. Neolithic peoples of central Europe fashioned it into amulets and cutting tools — the saw blade form’s natural sharp edges would have made it particularly valued for practical use. It is the national gemstone of the Czech Republic and one of the most sought-after metaphysical stones worldwide. Genuine Moldavite is increasingly rare as finite Czech deposits are depleted.
Care Notes
Natural glass (Mohs ~5.5). The serrated edges of saw blade pieces are particularly susceptible to chipping — handle with care and store separately from harder stones. Display in the included zero-gravity case. Genuine Czech Moldavite — natural and untreated.
